Registration informations
Dear Colleagues, Young Specialists, Trainees, and Friends of HBPSurG,

It is with great excitement that we invite you to join us in Lyon, France, for the HBPSurG 2026 Meeting.

Following the success of our previous editions, this year’s event promises to deliver an outstanding, forward-looking scientific program dedicated to empowering the next generation of hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeons.

Under the theme “Precision, Innovation, and Future-Proofing in Hepato-Biliary & Pancreatic Surgery”, the program features fresh, cutting-edge sessions designed to explore emerging frontiers while maintaining our signature interactive and interdisciplinary approach:

  • Meet the Experts sessions offering in-depth, case-based explorations of the most complex and novel clinical scenarios. These interactive discussions will cover borderline resectable disease guided by ctDNA and personalized strategies, totally robotic pancreatoduodenectomy in challenging settings, advanced vascular reconstruction with sophisticated planning, and many other cutting-edge topics.
  • State of the Art lectures delivering the latest updates on transformative topics such as AI and radiomics for future liver remnant prediction and surgical planning, liquid biopsy/ctDNA in recurrence monitoring, neoadjuvant immunotherapy combinations and rescue strategies, functional preservation techniques, long-term quality of life and survivorship in pancreatic cancer, and even sustainability in high-complexity HBP procedures.
  • Distinguished invited lectures from international leaders in these innovative fields.
  • Free paper sessions and the Rising Stars Award ceremony to spotlight groundbreaking work from emerging talents.

We are proud to assemble a world-class faculty of renowned experts and rising leaders in HBP surgery, oncology, radiology, and technology integration — many of whom have shaped recent advancements and multicenter trials. Their participation ensures high-quality, evidence-based, and practically relevant content that bridges today’s practice with tomorrow’s possibilities.

This meeting is especially tailored for young HBP specialists and trainees. We strongly encourage you to submit your abstracts for the free paper sessions — whether on precision biomarkers, robotic/minimally invasive extremes, neoadjuvant evolution, functional outcomes, AI applications, or other innovative themes. Your contributions are vital to the vibrancy of our community and offer a unique platform to present your work, receive expert feedback, compete for awards, and network with international peers and mentors.

Mark your calendars and prepare your best work — this is your opportunity to shine and shape the future of our field! We look forward to welcoming you — in person in beautiful Lyon or virtually — for two inspiring days of learning, discussion, and collaboration.

Warm regards,
Prof. Mustapha Adham
